Check of serviceability of functioning, removal and installation of electric switches and gauges of system of cooling

The thermosensitive gauge-switch of the fan of system of cooling (model without К/В)

Check

The description of check of serviceability of functioning of the gauge-switch is resulted in section Check of serviceability of functioning, removal and fan installation (ов) cooling systems.

Removal

Fresh hermetic / a new sealing ring is required.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The Gauge-switch is located at the left or on the right on a radiator (depending on model). Before to start gauge-switch removal wait full cooling of the engine.
2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
3. Partially empty cooling system (address to the Head Routine maintenance), having lowered level of a cooling liquid below level of position of the gauge-switch. Alternatively, prepare a suitable stopper for заглушивания apertures from under the gauge-switch (operate extremely cautiously, trying not to damage a radiator and not to admit hit in the heat exchanger of extraneous subjects).
4. Disconnect from the gauge-switch electroconducting.
5. Accurately turn out the gauge-switch from a radiator, at a corresponding complete set remove a sealing ring. If the cooling liquid from system did not merge, закупорьте an aperture under gauge-switch installation.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. If for consolidation of landing of the gauge-switch hermetic was used, carefully clean a carving part of assemblage and grease its fresh герметизирующим with structure.
2. At use of a sealing ring, do not forget to replace it at installation.
3. Installation is made upside-down. Tighten the gauge-switch and add in cooling system necessary quantity of a cooling liquid (address to the Head Routine maintenance).
4. In summary start the engine, warm up it to normal working temperature and make sure of serviceability of operation of the fan of system of cooling.

The thermosensitive gauge-switch of the fan of system of cooling (model with К/В)

The gauge of a measuring instrument of temperature/gauge-switch of a control lamp of temperature

Check

On the models equipped К/В the gauge develops only a signal submitted on a measuring instrument of temperature. Management of operation of a control lamp carries out temperature gauge BITRON (see more low).


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The gauge site depends on car model:
   a) On petrol models the gauge will screw in a back part of a casing of the thermostat located at the left on the engine;
   b) On diesel models without К/В the gauge is in the right forward corner of assemblage of the fuel filter/casing of the thermostat;
   c) On diesel models with К/В it is located in the left forward corner of a casing of the thermostat.
The gauge is easy for identifying on a socket of dark blue colour.

2. On a temperature measuring instrument (if that is provided) the stabilised food from an instrument guard (through the switch of ignition and a safety lock) moves. The contour of grounding of a measuring instrument is supervised by the separate gauge in which basis of a design it is put термистор (the electronic element which resistance changes in inverse proportion to temperature change. At the cold engine resistance of the gauge is great enough and a current passing through a measuring instrument, accordingly, is low. In process of temperature increase, resistance of the gauge falls also force of a current passing through a measuring instrument increases. The faulty gauge is subject to replacement.
3. If the control lamp of temperature enters into a car complete set, a food on it moves from an instrument guard. The special gauge-switch which is becoming isolated at a warming up to some certain temperature is included in a grounding contour. If the control lamp is established in addition to a temperature measuring instrument, its gauge-switch is usually united with the measuring instrument gauge in the uniform block to which two wires of a food are brought. On the models equipped К/В a control lamp copes gauge BITRON (see more low).
4. At refusal of a measuring instrument of temperature first of all check up serviceability of functioning of the other equipment of an instrument guard. If devices do not function at all, or their indications are astable, the cause of infringement can lie in refusal of a voltage stabilizer with which it is necessary to replace in this case (a voltage stabilizer is built in a payment of a combination of devices - address to the Head the Onboard electric equipment). If serviceability of functioning only one measuring instrument is broken, operate as it is described more low.
5. If the arrow of a measuring instrument constantly remains in the beginning jackals (even after engine warming up), disconnect from the gauge эк and earth a corresponding wire on weight of a head of cylinders. If the arrow deviates at ignition inclusion, the gauge is faulty and is subject to replacement, otherwise remove a combination of devices (address to the Head the Onboard electric equipment) and check up on presence of conductivity an electroconducting site between the gauge and a measuring instrument. Also check up serviceability of giving of a food on a measuring instrument. If conductivity takes place, it is necessary to replace a measuring instrument.
6. If the arrow constantly is in the right part of a measuring scale, disconnect from the gauge electroconducting. If at a detachment of electroconducting of the marksman comes back in a starting position (at the included ignition), it is necessary to replace the gauge. Otherwise it is necessary to check up a condition of the rest of a chain (see above).
7. The same principle is taken as a principle checks of serviceability of functioning of a control lamp. The lamp should light up at grounding of a corresponding wire of a chain.

The gauge of temperature BITRON (models with К/В)

1. The gauge is a part of a control system of functioning of the conditioner of air BITRON (air Central air - the general information and safety measures see). It is necessary to charge performance of check of the gauge to experts of car-care centre.

Removal and installation

1. The gauge will screw in a thermostat casing, in turn приболченный to the left end face of a head of cylinders. The gauge is easy for identifying on a socket of brown colour.
2. Procedure of dismantle of the gauge is similar described above for the thermosensitive gauge-switch of the fan of system of cooling. On some models access to the gauge is extremely limited and demands dismantle of stirring components.

The gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid (model with fuel injection)

1. The gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid of system of injection of fuel also will screw in a casing of the thermostat and differs a socket of dark blue or green colour.
2. The gauge represents термистор (the subsection "the Gauge of a measuring instrument of temperature/gauge-switch of a control lamp of temperature - Check" item 2 see above). The electronic block of management (ECU) injection/engine management systems gives out basic pressure on the gauge and on size of force of a current proceeding through the gauge defines current temperature of the engine. The received information is used then along with other entering signals for definition of necessary duration of opening of injectors. On some models the temperature is considered also at installation of turns of idling and a corner of an advancing of ignition.
3. At infringement of serviceability of functioning of gauge ECU passes in a mode of the closed functioning, using instead of false signals developed by the gauge some average value providing adequate efficiency of return of the engine at its certain decrease. On an instrument guard the control lamp and the car in that case lights up it is necessary to drive away on a car repair shop. Diagnostics of the gauge demands application of the special electronic equipment and is connected with risk of damage ECU.
